About the Journal

Wasit Journal for Pure Science (WJPS), launched in 2022, is the official peer-reviewed, open-access journal of the College of Education for Pure Science at Wasit University. The journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality research across a broad spectrum of pure science disciplines, including Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. WJPS welcomes original research articles written in English from authors both within Iraq and internationally, provided the work has not been previously published in any scientific journal or conference proceedings.

The journal follows a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the integrity and quality of the published research. It maintains a quarterly publication schedule, with issues released in March, June, September, and November. Since its inception, WJPS has been committed to providing a platform for scientific advancements and fostering academic collaboration.

Wasit Journal for Pure Science Publishing publishes under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY) license. We are using Turnitin to prevent plagiarism and ensure the originality of our submitted manuscripts.

WJPS is indexed in several reputable databases, including the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals and Google Scholar ensuring greater visibility and accessibility for researchers worldwide. Additionally, all published papers are archived on CLOCKSS, a secure, long-term digital preservation service that safeguards scholarly content for future generations.

The journal is published and managed by the College of Education for Pure Sciences at Wasit University, and it strives to uphold the highest standards of academic publishing, promoting innovation and excellence in pure sciences.
